I love @ChickFilA’s food but it seems they’ve done it again. Perpetuating discrimination, bigotry and supporting hate groups is what they seem to be best at. I will continue to boycott and encourage others to do so as well in hopes of the company either shaking their delusion or going out of business.

Chick-fil-A, a southern-style chicken sandwich franchise and a self-identified Christian company, has a history of promoting discrimination against members of the gay and lesbian community. Indeed, Chick-fil-A has been donating considerable resources to anti-gay causes, including Christian extremist organizations labeled as hate groups by the Southern Poverty Law Center. Chick-fil-A has a well documented history of actively promoting and supporting the following anti-gay Christian extremist organizations: the Focus on the Family Institute, the American Family Association, the National Organization for Marriage, the Pennsylvania Family Institute, Exodus International and the Family Research Council. These groups are some of the most vehement and vicious anti-gay groups in the country. The controversial fast food franchise has drawn criticism across the country for their anti-gay politics. Change.org reports:
Students at the University of North Texas, the University of New Orleans, Mississippi State University, Gainesville State College, Indiana University (Bloomington Campus), and Texas Tech University have all launched petitions, calling on their schools to stand up for the LGBT community. The goal? To tell administrators at these schools that if campuses are truly to be safe and inclusive for all students, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity, than businesses on these campuses must not support efforts to discrimination against the LGBT population.Aside from their political agenda, Chick-fil-A also monitors their employees for possible “sinful” behavior. Equality Matters reports:
Chick-fil-A requires potential franchise operators to disclose their marital status, number of dependents, and involvement in social, church, and other organizations. Employees may be fired for engaging in “sinful” behavior…The following is a sample of relevant tweets from Wednesday’s Twitter stream:
